On most maps Alaska looks rather small. It is often mistakenly placed near Mexico. In fact Alaska is quite large (see below) and is actually located towards the top of the North American Continent. According to the Constitution of the State of Alaska it is indeed part of the Continental United States. Alaska is the 49th state in the United States of America. |
